Malta and Belgium amend Double Taxation Agreement

19th January, 2010 – Malta and Belgium have signed an agreement amending the former Double Taxation agreement’s provisions on the exchange of information to bring it in line with internationally agreed standards. The original agreement was reached in 1974, and was amended in 1993.

Trade links between the 2 countries have developed further since Malta’s EU accession. This agreement continues to enhance the double taxation treaty network enabling Malta to develop trade relations with other countries.
