Annabel Hili

Annabel joined the firm in 2013. Her main areas of practice are  Data Protection, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), and Intellectual Property. She also regularly provides assistance on Corporate and M&A and Real Estate matters.

Education & Court Admissions

Annabel graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2015, having submitted a doctoral thesis entitled ‘The Boundaries of Freedom of Expression on Social Media: Regulating Incitement to Commit Crimes and Hate Speech in an Online Environment’. She was called to the bar in 2016.

Annabel is currently reading for an LLM in the Law of Internet Technology at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. The progamme focuses on international legal matters emerging in the digital age, including intellectual property and competition rules, data protection, jurisdictional issues and digital innovation.
